Epristan Explorers (PMD RP, Accepting Players)

SETTING:
The world of Epristan can mean many things, depending on your occupation. For someone on a rescue team, the world can be a sprawling place full of people to save and mysteries to uncover. For the criminal, the secrets of the world hold great power for the ones that fight to claim it. And for a shopkeeper..well, let's just say you got a lot of sprouting rescue teams to help you out. But no matter who you are, there's always something new to see in the world of Epristan, whether it lead you to glory or your downfall.

OSWARY VILLAGE

This is the location of many startup guilds in the world, often with many different motives. These guilds usually end up clashing at some point or another, leading into potential wars if left undisturbed. Years in the past, many fights between guilds have left many old guilds in the past in ruins, along with the people who lived inside of them. Only one guild seems to remain to this day, Pliyya, who, similar to the other Pokemon Mystery Dungeon worlds, teach young rescue teams the ropes so they know what to do when they go out into the world.

After a crisis with the previous guilds two years ago, the village has lost a lot of its liveliness of the past. The guildmaster of Pliyya, a Goodra named Strezai, hopes to fix this problem, as without the rescue teams and activity of Oswary, Epristan has been put in danger to the madmen of the world. Their success, however, depends on you. This place acts as the hub area of the roleplay. It heavily resembles the villages from the other games, however, the guilds are on the outskirts of them, and singular rescue team bases can also be found outside of the village. (Currently, there are none by users to list.) To the south of the village is the wide open sea, Stuinzie.

There are various locations inside of the villages to check out, each with their own unique things about them.


OSWARY BANK

Owned by: Pilar (F Persian, lilcipher)

A medium-sized rounded clay hut, painted in shining gold and shimmering blue colors. Rather featureless on the outside, but the inside leads to the entrance of a deeper underground level, a cavern-like place full of different safes and file cabinets for each occupant of Oswary Village and its surrounding areas.

Founded many, many years ago by Cosmas Persian (fun fact: a painting of him hangs underground in the vaults in memory of him) when he and his family moved from Ashijan Mountain to the village of Oswary during one of the many guild wars. He profited greatly from the war and its participants, enough so to keep the family business going was it was passed down for ages. There have been a few investigations into the business in the past, however, due to some citizens' money going missing and other illegal happenstances the Persian family participated in. But for the last twenty years or so, the Persian family has kept a clean name and record, and continues to do so.


SHOPS

There are various shops inside of Oswary, allowing you to purchase goods.


SALTY SEA ADVENTURE SHOP

Owned by: Aysa (Female Frillish, needler)

The shop was built on a medium sized ship floating near the beach of the Stiunzie. In the daytime, a small wooden bridge connects the mainland and the ship, when the night falls, the bridge is drawn back, making the ship a safe place to stay at all times. The shop originally started out as a small house on the beach, it worked fairly well like that, until a flood drew some ground into the sea, making the shop fall into the water. Almost everything in the building was destroyed, making the owner of the shop realise that building on the beach wasn't a good idea. Knowing that he couldn't continue his business like that, the original owner, a Prinplup, hired many human shaped pokémon to build him a ship which he could use as a moving shop. The ship was built and it functioned greatly until the owner went missing and the place was left behind to rot. Many ghost type pokémon haunted the ship, scaring everyone away from it, until a Frillish went into the ship and reclaimed it with the help of other water pokémon. The shop was rebuilt with  the new goal of helping the rescue teams who start out in the nearby settlements.


JAIMES' JAUNTY JEMS

A shop that sells evolutionary stones and move-boosting gems.

Location Appearance:
Not pictured is the rather organized trunk of what he sells located inside the tent, locked by a lock he had crafted himself while he was in the thief's guild. Only he can unlock it, and the trunk itself is quite sturdy. He has his own bedding inside, and there's a flap at the top of the opening to the tent which can come down for insulation at night.

Most of it comes from Jaimes' own biography, but if you're really feeling it, then basically what happened is, after Jaimes was let go to go do his own things with life, he built this shop (with the help of a few Timburr that he had hired) out of some sturdy fabric, wooden beams, a nice cover that he had custom-made by a wonderfully generous Leavanny, and a whole lot of elbow grease. Ever since, Jaimes has been making money off of selling whatever evolutionary stones he finds, along with a few other shiny and precious things.


Gemstone Market
Sells evolutionary stones, rocks, jewels and other mysterious stones.

Made out of transparent material sensitive to sunlight and moonlight respectively. At day, it lights up to look like an Espeon. It looks like an Umbreon at night. It's open 24/7, because the two siblings who run it alternate between 6AM and 6PM for Jule and 6PM to 6AM for Umbra. Large shelves hang above the counter, which have items encased in glass. They are all locked by codeword. It can be known by not speaking to the twins, but you have to solve a Skeleton Crossword. It's a special crossword which lacks black squares and numbers so you need to confine yourself. Inside is the siblings' rooms. It's rather comfy.


PLAZA

This is where much of the socializing takes place. During the greater days of the village, you could find many Pokemon from a multitude of backgrounds discussing missions, rumors, and other things. Nowadays, you can probably only find a few Pokemon here, reminiscing of the previous guilds of the past, that are now sitting in ruins.


SWANNA POST OFFICE

Located north of the Plaza, you can send mail over to other people here. This can be used to communicate to other guilds, or for a way to communicate to NPCs. You'll have to pay a fee in Poke if you want to, though. This location is currently open.


UWHIL TAVERN

Want to relax? Well, to the south of the plaza resides a well-known tavern! This place, like the plaza, often acts as a quick place to chat about the happenings in the world. You can roleplay as the owner of this tavern if you wish, but until then, a NPC will take the place of it. Despite it not getting as much activity these days, you can still probably find a chat or two there if you look for it.

NOTABLE LANDMARKS

There is more than just Oswary inside of Epristan. Beyond the place are many locations for users to explore in missions. Here are just a few, with more to be added as the roleplay progresses, and as more ideas come to fruition.


NUSMAI FOREST

Straight north of the village lies a lively forest containing many forest folk. A village of Butterfree is said to live here, constantly facing the harassment of a similar swarm of Vivillon. There is also said to be one of the largest bands of Eeveelution packs known to Mon living in this forest, and many Eevees seem to come to Oswary from these packs seeking adventure.


ASHIJAN, MOUNTAIN OF THE ANCIENTS

A three day trip from Oswary, it is said that three creatures of legend were born here from the power of a mystical bird. However, many people have been warded from the location due to the various strong Dark types that roam its parts and constantly fight over it. Outlaw gangs seem to be born here these days at nearby caves, and nothing around has wished to stop them yet.


STIUNIZE, THE GREAT SEA

Below the village is a long, vast sea. Not many Pokemon knows much of what lies beyond its horizon, not even the Pokemon that live inside of its depths. Numerous Pokemon believe that the sea itself could be endless, though with the discovery of the island of Sashenia years ago, many question if there's more out there, perhaps somewhere the creatures of myth live.


DRAUNGA DESERT

Far west of the village is a large desert, where nomads seem to roam. Rumors of great treasure hidden deep inside of the desert has lured naive folks into going on a trip to the desert unprepared and not coming back. Most desert Pokemon (such as Trapinch), if found in Oswary, are likely from here.


SASHENIA, THE ISLAND OF FROST

An island in the west of the ocean, the place seems to be constantly coated with a large amount of snow, regardless of the season. Due to this and the relentless weather, not all Pokemon can likely last on this island. Not much is known about it, other than some of its frosty inhabitants, some of which have moved to mainland.


SHOUSSAU, THE LAND OF THE CLOUDS

A place where Flying types seem to thrive, and was once strictly ruled long ago by a djinn, who would harass the inhabitants below the land. Now, it serves as an avian paradise, with not many people of the land have been ever able to experience. It is said to be located slightly beyond Nusmai and Tuswar.


TUSWAR PLAINS

East of Nusmai lies a long stretch of plain. Small villages are scattered about here, though none with enough notability or population to create any guilds or rescue teams. They still manage to become good trade spots, however, as some nice goods can be found around the plains and nearby locations at reasonable prices. Outside of these villages, you can find a wild variety of folk, though sometimes the more negative folk can cause some horrible incidents.

HOW TO PLAY/MECHANICS:
So, you want to join Epristan Explorers? Well, it may be easier than you think! Playing this roleplay is not much harder than playing a chatroom roleplay, once you know how to work a forum RP. With this quick guide, you'll have your character ready in no time!

  1. Before you do anything, you should research Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and see how the game's setting works. You can find some good information on Bulbapedia and Serebii.

  2. Check out the setting document, so you have a simple idea of how the world works, and what you can do. Now, with that in mind, you can start thinking up a character, and whatever comes along with it.

    For example, say you wish to be a shopkeeper, and you want your shop inside of the village. You'd create your character, with your role as Shopkeeper, give a little description of the shop with the location sheet, and you will be accepted into the roleplay and have your shop added to the thread. For a rescue team, you'd similarly, if you're the leader of it, write a description of the rescue team in the appropriate section, create your character, and, if accepted, your character and rescue team will be added.

    Another, more difficult example is if you wish to make your own guild. To make your own guild, you will need a group of players that will be a rescue team inside of your guild. These players can be characters that are already in another guild but move with the creation of the new guild. You will have to fill out a data sheet for the guild. More info on that can be found in the character sheet section.

  3. Once your character is in the world, you can check out the mission board in order to accept missions. These missions progress the plot of the roleplay, and may end up leading to the world changing in various locations. However, you do not need to take these missions all the time, and, if wanted, a player can explore the world to their whims. Keep in mind that if there is a long enough time having users not taking missions, you will be forced to take a mission. (This will not apply all the time, only applying when nothing very important out-of-mission is going on.) You can also request a mission if you wish, and it will be put up on the Mission Board.

  4. Outside of that, you're open to do what you want, as long as you're following room and Showdown rules!

RULES:


  1. Please follow all Showdown and Roleplaying rules. Breaking these rules will result in punishment. This ranges from godmodding to suggestive content.

  2. If no users claim locations inside of the village, more detail will be placed so NPCs can run the location with their own lore and backstory.

  3. Players, unless they are a guildmaster, assistant of the guildmaster, or an owner of a location in the village (like a shop or a bank, must start as their race's lowest form. This is for progression reasons.

  4. Read the thread completely before you join. Also, you should check back and see the thread every now and then to keep updated on any new missions, guilds, shops, and so forth.

  5. There is no system that keeps track of Poke and item prices. However, don't act like you'll be able to afford something big and powerful straight a the start.

  6. You aren't required to have fun, but you should not make a ruckus if you aren't having it.

  7. Be literate. The general rule is is that if your post can fit in a single chat post inside of Showdown, it should probably be lengthened. No txtspeak in character, either (like saying lol, omg, etc.) Forum posts are to be taken advantage of, not to be wasted.

  8. This roleplay follows progression. Players that put in the work can evolve their characters and make their characters more relevant inside of the world. This can be through missions or other matters that actually make a difference.

  9. Rescue teams can contain a total of five players. Gang amounts and guild amounts are infinite in terms of player characters. There are not infinite amounts of NPCs, however, so keep that in mind.

  10. Make sure you get all the info needed for what you wish to create down if you wish to run a location, make a guild, etc. If you need any help with this, private message @Chihiro's AlterEgo on Showdown.

  11. Don't just interrupt other users if they really don't wish you to. On the flipside, you shouldn't be rude and shun other users all the time just so you can reach your own ends.

  12. Battles should be planned out between players beforehand, so arguments don't happen (or at least occur privately.) If you and whoever you are battling can't decide who should win, private message me or Galom so the battle can be decided privately. Note, if you can actually handle doing a roleplaying battle between a user without planning it out, it can be done without planning, however, it's better to just play it safe.

  13. Be reasonable. You can't play a legendary in this roleplay, nor can you be anything from any other setting or game (like a Pokemon Trainer or Sonic the Hedgehog). There won't likely be anything involving crossovers anytime soon, so in the meantime, just don't. Similarly, do not judge a user or their character's by their sexuality. You will not be limited in any way for having a non-straight sexuality outside of roleplay, but if your sexuality is used to cause problems inside of the roleplay, you will be punished. Finally, no "Glowchu" esque things unless the plot makes something like this available (which is highly doubtful)

  14. Do not complain about punishments. If you were punished, it's probably for a reason. If you seriously find a problem with your punishment, private message me or Galom on Showdown so we can rejudge the reason for your punishment.

PLIYYA

Guildmaster: Strezai (Male Goodra, @Chihiro's AlterEgo)

Rescue Team Listing: None, at the current moment!

Base: The Pliyya base can be found at the eastern outskirts of Oswary, being much larger than many of the buildings inside of the village. Being a rather quiet place, the base does not seem to contain any guards, as the need for one has not arisen yet. Entering the building leads to a room with a large table covered by a grey cloth near the back of the room, often having a Pokemon occupying it from the behind. On the table are registration papers for a rescue team, and on the back wall around the location are papers describing upcoming events. The floor of this room, among the many others, seems to be of a simple wood.

From there, there are two ways one can go. The left takes you to the Social Hall, where Pokemon eat, socialize, and even buy some things at the shops that can be found there. Presentations happen there every now and then, in the case of special occurrences. Little tables and booths are scattered around to accommodate the people of the guild. To the right are the dormitories of the various rescue teams, along with the guildmaster and any of the people who work inside of there. Hidden in the Guildmaster's dorm is another room, where secret discussions are held between higher members of the guild and sometimes discussions between the guildmaster and certain rescue teams if they did something horribly wrong.

Lore: After the guilds were shut down, poor Strezai was left without a guild and his friends lost in the depths of the fight between his previous guild and another guild that, along with their guildmasters, have disappeared. Knowing that the world could not do with nobody training the young people of the world in the arts of rescue teams, he used what he knew from his own time in a guild and created his own, in hopes that the world could keep its previous safety (outside of the guild fights) forever more. (More will be placed here as more characters appear/plot progresses.)

There are no gangs at the current moment, but once they are added, they will be placed onto this document.

DATA SHEETS:
NOTES

Your role is what your character does, like if they're part of a rescue team, a shopkeeper, a thug, and so on. Your perks are some of the benefits of your character, and your flaws are the exact opposite. Your flaws must be equal to your perks or be more than your perks, and must be actual character flaws. The appearance section is used for any clothing your character may be wearing (like a scarf or bandana). Your biography is optional if you wish to keep your story hidden, but if used, it must at least be a paragraph or so.

Below the character sheet you can find a sheet for submitting a location to be added to the document, outside of a guild or inside. Your location purpose is what the location is supposed to be (a shop, an arena, or whatever), and the location biography describes the reason why the location was created and any previous history of the place. (Keep in mind that a lot of the locations from before the falling apart of the guilds inside of the village are still around, despite not making as much Poke these days, or getting as much activity.)

Finally, the last sheet allows you to describe teams, from rescue teams to guilds to gangs of outlaws. Your group purpose varies on the team. Not all guilds are made for the training of future rescue teams, for example; some guilds are in it for the money, some may just be hireable mercenaries, and others may just be as bad as the dark gangs miles away. The same applies for rescue teams, gangs, and other teams you'd like to make up.

Reserving this post for my own character sheets.

Strezai (Pliyya Guildmaster):

Name: Strezai

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Goodra

Appearance: Strezai doesn't look much different than an ordinary male Goodra in terms of form, having the race's large and gooey structure that stands at 6 feet. His only accessory seems to the a large cape that goes down to the middle of his pudgy legs, made out of a white cloth. It is kept together on the Goodra's body by a ribbon, having a pure, aqua colored gem in the middle of it. On his right, larger antenna, straight in the middle, a scar remains from the past.

Role: Guildmaster of Pliyya, overly large goo dragon

Perks:

  • Being a dragon, Strezai potentially contains a large amount of power. He is not one that one should be messed with, as you might end up being on the wrong end of a Dragon Pulse.

  • The Goodra is kind-hearted to other Pokemon despite experiences with other Pokemon in the past, and is quick to forgive misdeeds that are not grievous.

  • Despite only being a young adult, Strezai is rather mature, and can maintain the stress of handling one of the new guilds sprouted after the Guild Wars with efficiency.


Flaws:

  1. Being rather large and bulky makes it hard for the dragon to maneuver compared to the much more speedier Pokemon in the world around him. Along with this, while being powerful than a typical Pokemon in a rescue-team-in-training, he is not a master of combat by any means. He's just a guildmaster, after all, and often has too much work on his hands to grow to his true potential.

  2. Due to his kind-heartedness, he can often find it hard to give straight criticism to somebody unless he is made frustrated enough. This kind-heartedness can often make him look naive as well, with some Pokemon seeing his ambitions as unrealistic, and having too much optimism.

  3. The Goodra, while seemingly mature, often has trouble working on his own accord, making him struggle when without friends or at least somebody to support him. This can get to him rather easily and make him emotional.


Personality: The Goodra has grown to be rather kind-hearted and tolerant so he could get over the years when he was inside of a rescue team. His ambitions drive him to do great things, though often without much thought of what they could actually lead to. This often makes him seem rather optimistic to a fault, with his beliefs that his guild would actually prevent the village from being taken advantage of.

Biography: Years ago, a young Sliggoo was in a Rescue Team along with two partners, a Wartortle and a Noibat. Together, they were a rescue team inside of Skiameca, a guild much similar to Pliyya, one that was dedicated to train rescue teams so they could be sent out to the world to rescue the people of village and go onto amazing adventures. However, things weren't so bright and happy for the guild. Another guild, named Choerhiel, who were really only in it for the money, found themselves clashing with Skiameca rescue teams as time progressed. As soon as Strezai's rescue team made it out of the guild, tensions were at an alltime high.

It wouldn't be long after their promotion to a full rescue team that the two guilds found themselves in such deep competition that it could pretty much be taken as a war, with Pokemon on both sides actually being killed in their fight to reach their goals. This started the Guild Wars, a long duration of fighting between the many guilds that stationed themselves inside of Oswary. With it came the destruction of many guilds and the unfortunate deaths of his partners in a clash between another rescue team that they were simply rivals with before the "war". This fight also left him with a scar on his antenna and blood on his own hands, things that he would never forget. Left without a rescue team and, later, not a home, the Sliggoo was made bitter for several years as the rest of the guilds similarly fell apart due to aggression. The world simply could not handle guilds anymore, or so he thought the Pokemon in the village thought. He was different than those people, however.

Before the wars, the now-Goodra was often called out for his frustration from his own emotional weaknesses, due to Goomys and similarly Sliggoos often being the weakest Dragons of them all. After the "war", however, the Goodra changed his ways, and began improving himself emotionally to cope with his losses. This led him to become more of a mature person, if a bit ambitious. Knowing that the thugs of the north could easily take advantage of the village if there were to not be anyone helping out new and rising rescue teams, he created his own guild in hopes that he could fill in the gap. Nowadays, he lives a peaceful live inside of the village with his guild, though, with the new wave of rescue teams, he does question if he can prevent history from repeating itself.

HYEON (MIENFOO) VERY HEAVY WIP:
Name: Hyeon

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Mienfoo

Appearance: Whipped around the Mienfoo's head is a simple purple cloth, acting as a headband. On the front of the cloth that sits on the forehead, a symbol marks the heritage of the Mienfoo, like his father, to the Myaukan. Outside of this, the Mienfoo appears no different to the rest of his species.

Role: Exploration Team Leader (in Pliyya), kung fu mustelid

Perks: - Hyeon isn't afraid to think outside of the box, even if it means to disgrace the common folk for the greater good. This also means, however, that he will not break the law or go outside of the norm if unnecessary or unreasonable to himself, or his friends.

- Hyeon has great willpower despite being a kid, being able to not be manipulated by the more obvious. (This does not mean he can not be tricked, rather, that he's just a tough nut to crack.)

- Due to training, the Mienfoo has some knowledge of combat skill and can take on creatures in dungeons through strategy.

Flaws: - Despite the Mienfoo being able to understand what is right and wrong to say, he can give the wrong message to some people depending on their own sense of what is right and wrong, and even then, he is not infallible.

- Hyeon's great fault comes in how hard he will try to achieve something, just because it is what is "right", even if it would bring great struggle or pain to him and his team. Down the road, this might bring him great trouble.

- Despite his efforts, Hyeon still has a long way to go before he truly masters the art of the fist.

Personality: Hyeon took on a lot of ideals from his father, who believed that one should focus on being not the person that the people need, but the one that the world needs. Thus, he is often one to think big and put the hard work into these thoughts, even if they're ones that could get him into a mess. He is straight-forward with others, not afraid to say what is on his mind, and would rather get things moving than to slack off. In the end, he is rather supportive of his friends, assisting them when needed.

Biography: Born and raised inside of the Myaukan clan (and not West Philadelphia), a group of forest-dwelling Fighting-types, the Mienfoo was brought into the world being taught what was out there. Despite such knowledge, the Mienfoo always wished to go out to see the world, inside of his own rescue team. There, as an explorer, he could find the truth (and perhaps find some spiritual meaning.) However, his father was not pleased with his child's thoughts at the time, as from what he had learned, his other son had never came back from his trip to join a rescue team. It wasn't until a year before the start of the roleplay that the Mienfoo figured out what happened to him; he had fallen in the disputes between the guilds and had taken odd jobs beforehand, like butlers to untrustworthy, yet rich dragons, to scrubbing the floors of the inn for minimum wage. This disgusted the child immensely, and due to him not wanting to be like his brother, it took him until he was older to ever consider the choice.

Not long after the fallout of the major clans at the time, the Mienfoo's father had finally faced the truth; it was either he would let the clans fall and let people go out and bend the wills of many, or that the clan would do something about it and potentially keep the world in check with the "explorer treatment", as one may call it. After about a week of denial of wanting to make a rescue team, the Mienfoo eventually caved in, with a quarter being because he did not want to mess with his father, and the rest because he genuinely understanded at the time what his father meant. So, without further ado, he had created Team Enguarde, one of the many sprouting teams coming out of Pliyya.

Extra: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA WEASELS

TEAM ENGUARDE:
Group Name: Team Enguarde (or just Enguarde)

Type of Group: Rescue Team

Group Purpose: At the moment, it is just to take on missions and explore/protect the world and its wonders, though that may change.

Group Location (if any): Inside of Pliyya.

Group Leader: Hyeon (M Mienfoo, @Chihiro's AlterEgo)

Group Members: Galom's Pawniard (to be made)

Group Biography: Hyeon created the guild after his father finally had convinced him to do it for the greater good. (Description is WIP, will add more after Galom's character is made)

Lulu - Done!:

Name: Lulu

Gender: Female

Pokemon: Clefable

Appearance: Lulu doesn't normally wear anything distinguishing- However, she has no shadow.

Role: Pliyya's Assistant

Perks: On the battlefield, Lulu is physically sturdy and is not afraid to trust her teammates. However, as an assistant, she is also quite organized, and can easily handle multiple things at once.

Flaws: Lulu, with her cutesy and pink appearance, is often ignored by incoming rescue teams who tend to be more confident than others. Lulu can also get too worked up, consequently scaring off said rescue teams. Along with this, Lulu is irrationally afraid of Gengars- perhaps it's because of her past, but whenever she sees one, all of the muscles in her body lock up, and her mind begins to uncontrollably race with the thoughts of death.

Personality: Lulu is a strong Pokemon who don't need no m-- Ahem, I mean, Lulu is generally a great friend. She prefers to avoid lying, and does whatever she can to avoid sugarcoating things so that new rescue teams will know what to do to the fullest extent. Lulu tries her best to be cheery whenever things aren't looking well, and has a tendency to act like a Minun or Plusle when she can't help her friends.

Biography: Lulu's had a relatively normal past, though while she was still a Clefairy, she was forced to stay in hiding to avoid getting caught in the crossfire during guild wars. However, not too before becoming Pliyya's assistant, she was attacked by (yeah yeah cliche alert whatever) a Gengar who had been enlisted as a mercenary during a guild war. The Gengar had been out for blood, and refused to stop until he was sated. In the end, through logic and my own laziness in describing things, Lulu had her shadow stolen, and was permanently scarred by the encounter. Not long after, Strezai found the poor, terrified Clefable and took her in, gaining both her trust and friendship.

Jaimes - Done!:

Name: Jaimes

Gender: Male

Pokemon:  Sableye

Appearance: Jaimes wears two silver rings on his left arm, located just below his shoulder.

Role: Shopkeeper

Perks: Jaimes, as a Sableye, is rather fast and sneaky. He's good at stealing things (though he rarely does so anymore) and his claws are sharper than usual. Along with this, Jaimes is also a great price haggler.

Flaws: As a Sableye, Jaimes is quite frail, which makes up for his speed.  He's unusually protective of the rings on his arm, and he often claims he'd have his life taken over those rings. His ears are also quite sensitive, as he relies much more on his hearing than his sight, unlike most Sableyes who search for treasure with their fantastic sight.

Personality: Jaimes is quite cunning, as he often has to use methods only he knows in order to retrieve gems that he finds. He prefers to be alone in his shop, and is protective of his stock of evolutionary stones as much as the rings on his arm. Jaimes also always keeps his sentences short, and is quite stubborn because of when he started to get better at haggling prices. His more common response in battle is a flight rather than fight, as he is more confident in his speed rather than strength.

Biography: Jaimes grew up as a working thief, with other speedy and sly Pokemon who were forced to work under a thief-mistress for food and shelter. He was appointed as the official gem thief, and was often sent off to either retrieve treasure from extremely dangerous places or steal from extremely rich and dangerous Pokemon. This job kept him with food and a home, however, one day, when Jaimes was sent to steal from the lair of a Diancie, he was quickly sent off with a few rocks to his face. Miserably, Jaimes returned to the thief-mistress empty-handed. He was shunned, kicked out, and left out alone with nowhere to stay and nothing to eat. The only things he had been left with were the two silver rings on his arm, that were given to him as a reward for retrieving so much treasure.
After wandering for days on end through the Nusmai Forest and arriving at Oswary village, Jaimes was surprised to see that he was treated with kindness by the residents rather than driving him away. Jaimes was nursed back to health by a generous family of Blisseys, and eventually sent off to build his own shop in the growing plaza of shops. From there, he realized that rather than stealing and possibly face death by Pokemon, he would find his own treasures and sell them at his new shop in Oswary village.

Shop - Jaimes' Jaunty Jems - Done!:

Location Name: Jaimes' Jaunty Jems

Location Purpose: A shop that sells evolutionary stones and move-boosting gems.

Location Appearance:
I couldn't find a way to decribe it, so here's a doodle.:
Not pictured is the rather organized trunk of what he sells located inside the tent, locked by a lock he had crafted himself while he was in the thief's guild. Only he can unlock it, and the trunk itself is quite sturdy. He has his own bedding inside, and there's a flap at the top of the opening to the tent which can come down for insulation at night.

Location Biography: Most of it comes from Jaimes' own biography, but if you're really feeling it, then basically what happened is, after Jaimes was let go to go do his own things with life, he built this shop (with the help of a few Timburr that he had hired) out of some sturdy fabric, wooden beams, a nice cover that he had custom-made by a wonderfully generous Leavanny, and a whole lot of elbow grease. Ever since, Jaimes has been making money off of selling whatever evolutionary stones he finds, along with a few other shiny and precious things.

I guess I'll bother adding a wandering guild later on... Hum.

Pokémon: Eevee
Appearance: An Eevee with a simple snowflake charm around her neck. She keeps it for good luck.
Role: Rescue Team (currently the only member)
Perks: She's good at decision-making; likes the snow
Flaws: She tends to be off-set around others because she's afraid of what they may think or say of her; she wants to be on a rescue team with at least one other Eevee, but whatever her team composition, she doesn't want to get everyone in danger; she blames herself a lot for any mishaps
Personality: On the outside, she seems to be a cheerful young Eevee who has a taste for adventure. This seems to be the opposite in reality. She wants to help others, but doesn't want to be put in danger. She's easily scared, but will do her best to do what is right.

Type of Group: A group mostly made for Pokemon that are/evolve into Ice-types. Any other type is welcome, as long as they have at least one Ice-type move in their moveset.

Name: Aysa
Gender: Female
Pokemon: Frillish
Appearance: Aysa usually wraps a long, light green scarf around her neck, letting it hang next to her tentacles.
Role: Shopkeeper
Perks: Honest, Trustworthy, Intelligent and Kind.
Flaws: Naive, Unexperienced in battle, Physically weak, Sensitive, Overly sentimental, Easily scared
Personality: Aysa is kind or even naive to most people especially to rescue team members. She often gets scammed thanks to her naiveness and inability to defend herself in a battle. Sometimes she is too calm in situations where most other people would freak out, other times she gets scared by the simplest things. Her only goal in life is to help everyone around herself and live happily.
Biography: Pokémon living on the land would consider Aysa's past terrifying and horrible. She spent her childhood in the seas, far away from all land, her parents were always near to help and there was enough food for their whole family. She didn't have any problems with other pokémon since every creature in the sea respected jellicents and their pre-evolutions. This care free life was what made the frillish so naive and led her to believe that the world is living in perfect happiness. She had no idea about the happenings on the mainland, because her parents didn't want to ruin her childhood by telling her how awfull wars and rogue pokémon are.
She lived her life happily like this untill her parents disappeared. They didn't come back to their usual grouping location for weeks, then months. Aysa searched for them, so did a large group of other pokémon. They were worried, the ecosystem in the sea highly depended on the jellyfish pokémon back then since they were the only ones keeping away larger pokémon from the harmless, not fully evolved herbivores. With two of the largest jellicents gone, their family members started to panic, leading to the departure of most jellicents. Aysa was left alone, she didn't know what to do, she didn't know how to hunt by herself, she couldn't defend herself. She never needed to do such things, her parents did everything for her. Now, she was on a level high enough to evolve into a jellicent, but she couldn't. Her care free life made her unable to achieve her highest evolutionary form.
She drifted from island to island, feeding on seaweed and fruits that have fallen into the sea. She developed a new way of living and learned how to form a bubble around herself which would let her ascend onto the surface. The frillish found the abandoned shop which was once used as a shop near the borders of the mainland. With the help of other pokémon, she reclaimed the building and opened a shop with the goal to help adventurers.

Zane the Axew:
Name: Zane
Gender: Male
Pokemon: Axew
Appearance:
He wears a Red Scarf around his neck.
Role: Rescue Team Leader
Perks:

  • As a Dragon, Zane has potential to be very strong
  • Strong-willed
  • Adaptable
  • Goal -oriented
  • Because of an injury in his past causing his left arm to be weakened Zane's Right arm has become significantly stronger.

Flaws:

  • Despite being dragon Zane is still an Axew so he has a ways to go before he reaches his full potential
  • Over ambitious when it comes too his/his team's skills
  • Thinks too much into slight changes in situations
  • May overlook something during the journey in order to get to the goal/objective
  • Due to something in his past Zane has a scar on his left arm which seems  to be weaker than his right arm.

Personality: Zane is generally a distant guy from others.  Once you get to know him, he seems more open to you.  He operates with people he doesn't know on a business level keeping a formal atmosphere about him.
Biography: Zane's history is a mystery. He hasn't told anyone about his past.  Even fends and team mates don't know his past. All they know is that something bad happened in his past and he wants revenge on someone for it.  He has a scar on his left arm from an injury received in the past.  <More to be added as it becomes known in RP>

Group Name: Team Razor
Type of Group: Rescue Team
Group Purpose: Team Razor's purpose is to stop malicious pokemon from taking advantage of or hurting other pokemon.  They take on Bounty Hunting Missions mostly, but they are not limited to only those missions.  
Group Location (if any): Originally formed in a guild that no longer is open, Team Razor is currently under the Pliyya Guild.
Group Leader: Zane the Axew
Group Biography: Team Razor was started by Zane the Axew out of the blue.  But the guild it started at was ran out of business by other rival guilds. After working freelance for a bit, they came across the Pliyya Guild which seemed to have similar standards to their former guild so they eventually decided to join the guild as a Pliyya-affiliated rescue team.

Shop Location Sheet:
Location Name: Salty Sea Adventure Shop
Location Purpose: A place where rescue teams or anyone else adventuring into the wilderness can buy usefull items for themselves.
Location Appearance: The shop was built on a medium sized ship floating near the beach of the Stiunzie. In the daytime, a small wooden bridge connects the mainland and the ship, when the night falls, the bridge is drawn back, making the ship a safe place to stay at all times.
Location Biography: The shop originally started out as a small house on the beach, it worked fairly well like that, untill a flood drew some ground into the sea, making the shop fall into the water. Almost everything in the building was destroyed, making the owner of the shop realise that building on the beach wasn't a good idea. Knowing that he couldn't continue his business like that, the original owner, a prinplup, hired many human shaped pokémon to build him a ship which he could use as a moving shop. The ship was built and it functioned greatly untill the owner went missing and the place was left behind to rot. Many ghost type pokémon haunted the ship, scaring everyone away from it, untill a frillish went into the ship and reclaimed it with the help of other water pokémon. The shop was rebuilt with  the new goal of helping the rescue teams who start out in the nearby settlements.

Isis the Dragonite:
Name: Isis (adult years)

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Dragonite

Appearance: Although his overall body structure is nearly identical to an ordinary Dragonite aside from the astounding 8'2" height, Isis' scales are a dark teal shade and his underbelly is more white. He also has his antenna-things doubling as eyebrows rather than being on the top of his head. He wears a massive leather bag on his back which carries a wide assortment of items.

Role: Solo explorer / owner of 'Dragoon Lagoon'

Perks: Isis is, by nature, a friendly and occasionally funny individual. His feelings towards others are most times genuine and he's skilled at reading a person's emotions by their expressions and actions, doing whatever it takes to get them out of a sour mood... so long as it doesn't go against his own plans.

He's also by this point beginning to understand the importance of others beside himself and will if necesarry take on missions at the plaza to help those in need- or to help himself. It can vary. Isis also has a larger, more curved wingspan and better defenses compared to other Dragonites due to him being related to the Salamence family.

Flaws: Although by appearance Isis seems to be your typical 'friendly neighbor' kind of guy, there's a lot going on in that mind of his that, although not obvious to the untrained eye, is certainly present in some of his actions. Despite caring for others he can often be brutally honest and can be a bit cold to those he considers to match his description of 'weak'. Those he considers to be inferior are met with a side of Isis nobody thought he had: unforgiving, bitter and an overall disrespectful presence all while he maintains his usual grin.

These only become more apparent when you get on his bad side. Isis is NOT someone you want to have against you. He is a master manipulator, using his excellent conversationalist skills to fool others into a false sense of security or turn them against his enemies. What makes this such a dangeorus thing is that you never know whether he's telling the truth or lying through his teeth.  

Personality:
Personality: At this point, Isis has become a kind and loving man who tries to make others laugh- including himself- constantly. Those he happens to come by are greeted by a warm grin and a cup of hot coffee; their stress quelled by the comfort of his very presence. He places others before the safety of his own life constantly because he does not understand the concept of death and most times escapes from dire situations perfectly unharmed due to natural talent and hundreds of years worth of practice.

Granted, this isn't to say he's perfection. In fact it is the illusion of perfection which makes him appear so 'angelic' in form. The only struggle he faces is the difficulty of blending in with beings whom he considers to be far below him. To Isis, his tales are the equivalent of a God living amongst men. His true struggle is his ignorance to the worth of others; to treat fellow Pokemon of different species not as pawns on a chessboard or puppies in need of affection, but as equal beings just as capable as himself.

Background: Not much is known about Isis the Dragonite's past as of now, side for what he's told to the Pokemon he comes by. He tells of a remote island far, far away, where various Dragon-type pokemon grew up. He was one of the prized inhabitants and was constantly praised for his rare ability the Dimensional Scream, which gives him brief and often vague insight into the events of the future and the past. However, one day, he just up and left. Never explains why, never tells why. This is also when he begun his journey as a Pokemon Explorer and begun to gain a reputation for his accomplishments.

Extra: You thought it was an ordinary Dragonite OC, but it was I, Isis!

Dragoon Lagoon (Shop):
Location Name: The Dragoon Lagoon

Location Purpose: Unlike other shops, the entire shop and its containments pretty much revolve around Isis. Everything from the items given to the carpet rug it sits on can be packaged up in his massive bag filled to the brim with tons of items. It specializes in rare items, such as uncommon seeds and TMs... but they're pretty pricey.

Location Appearance: The shop stands out for being a bit less... advanced than the others. It's pretty much just a red rug, a Dragonite sitting on top of it and a sign that reads "Dragoon Lagoon". Although it's most often stationed in the Plaza, Isis is literally a walking shop, so it's location is entirely dependant on where he is. He's pretty much like the Kecleons you find in the dungeons in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

Location Biography: The store only recently appeared in Oswary Village. Nobody knows much about it or the Dragonite running it besides the fact that he sells a lot of uncommon items like Revival Seeds and TMs.
