[CQRMT] The Second Ra

Post by FloPloK on Sun Aug 30, 2015 11:40 am

I don't know how to build Fire teams. So I used Mega Charizard Y and named it Ra. That's all. ^-^

Ra (Charizard) @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Roost
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast

"I exists to create light for people. Sometimes, I forgot to turn off my heater and droughts happen."

I wanted to use a SD variant of CharX here, but then I heard that CharX is banned suddenly. So, instead I just switch it to CharY. Trust me, there isn't much selection for Fire.

Charizard's set is simple as ever. Fire Blast OHKO or 2HKO everything, which is why I pick it over Flamethrower. I find that Charizard having Roost is more useful than HP Ice as some preferred, cause, you're dying to Garchomp anyways. Solar Beam and Focus Blast is for basic coverage.

Akatora (Arcanine) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roar
- Flare Blitz
- Morning Sun

"But... I'm orange, not red..."

No, Arcanine. You're a red tiger. Akatora means red tiger. Till someone gives me a bombshell on the name :

Xanthopoulus: You know
Xanthopoulus: Akatora means "A Horse's Arse" in moroccan pronouncation

... I doooon't care. I think finding a Moroccan in a Pokemon Roleplaying Room that participates in CQ is pretty hard.

I opted for Arcanine as a defensive pivot, given the Intimidate ability and somewhat respectable defense stats. Will-O-Wisp dents the opponents physical attacks even more, and Roar to phaze out opponents. Flare Blitz is a strong STAB move, even without attack investment. Morning Sun compliments with Charizard's sun well, so it heals 75% instead of the original 50%.

Tyvr (Infernape) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Fake Out

"I don't exist to make your life miserable. Let's say it's about paying last life's debt."

Tyvr is my brother. He's a monkey. No more comments.

Infernape, the rock setter. Yes, I considered Torkoal, but then, I have Arcanine as a defensive pivot, so I opted for the more versatile Infernape. Fake Out is to break sashes, mostly on Breloom and Galvan, cause if I fake out turn 1, they barely could respond turn 2(cept Galvan when winning speed ties). Taunt is nifty, to stop set-ups and Skarmory, since Fake Out does less than 6%(leftover recovery). Overheat turns into a powerful move when Blaze is activated.

Warm Hugs (Rotom-Heat) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Volt Switch or Thunderbolt
- Pain Split
- Thunder Wave

"I just wanted to hug people... But then, when I hug them, they started screaming and pushing me..."

The SpD pivot. The best I could find in Fire. Overheat is STAB, Volt Switch is a weird move, but then, since this thing barely does damage, I decided to use Volt Switch for now, to make predictions easy. Pain Split, the best stall object. I have Twave on Rotom, because Arcanine has Will-O.

Not That Song (Chandelure) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Energy Ball

"I wish people reckon me by my power, not because of a song..."

Chandelure, one of my favorite pokemons to use. HP Ice, eats up Dragons since Charizard hates Dragons. Shadow Ball and Fire Blast are STABS (Reason for Fire Blast, follow Charizard). Energy Ball deals with annoying water types >^< such as Swampert etc. Chandelure also serves as a fast mode for my team.

If you name Chandelure "Chandelier", you're a horrible person. >:c

Dinner (Emboar) @ Leftovers
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Hammer Arm
- Flare Blitz
- Head Smash
- Thunder Punch

"D-Don't eat me... I'm not fully cooked yet!"

Honestly, I don't know about Emboar. I wanted a physical pokemon cause it's so Special oriented, but then I am not convinced.

Any changes, thoughts will be appreciated. ^^ Except the nicknames. I like my nicknames.

For the emboar, might I suggest a choice band set?

Bacon (Emboar) @ choice band
Ability: reckless
EVs: 248 hp / 252 atk / 4 def / 4 spd
- flare blitz
- wild charge
- head smash
- superpower

I love running this set, I hope this might be useful!

Did you just make your Pokemon talk

Anyways, I just don't feel Fire should have defensive switches since it's not really going to take hits at all. Fire's weaknesses is very hard to cover on monotypes, so I suggest on full on offense :

A Horse's Arse (Arcanine) @ Life Orb or Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz

- Morning Sun or Wild Charge

Trust me, just use Adamant. You're not outspeeding or underspeeding anything much by that. Outspeeds Jolly Gyarados and below. Life Orb / CB basically makes Arcanine a killing machine, also finishing what Charizard has dented. If you like Morning Sun, keep it. If not have Wild Charge to deal with Gyarados and some water types.

Tyvr (Infernape) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Fake Out or Focus Blast

Beware of Heatran. They bite.

Warm Hugs (Rotom-Heat) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Trick
- Volt Switch or Thunderbolt
- HP Ice or Grass or Thunderbolt or Volt Switch

Uh. I don't know. Just hope that this thing can do damage now, since I thought SpD Rotom-H is a deadwood for the team. Jolly to outspeeed Max Speed Excadrill(?) if you're really afraid.

Chandelier (Chandelure) @ Choice Scarf or Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute
- Fire Blast
- Coverage Move or Nasty Plot Calm Mind
Note : If using Leftovers set

The reason on lefties set is because, I would like you to use it with :

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Earthquake or Rock Slide
- Superpower

I feel that is tho, this is better than Emboar. If you could take two scarfers in the same time, then continue with Scarf Chandelure. This Darmanitan set is just to be the powerhouse and the fast mode at the same time. Flare Blitz is STAB, U-Turn is for momentum, Superpower destroys stuff like Tyranitar. Last slot, depends on whether you want to hit stuff like Mega CharY or Aerodactyl or Mega Ampharos(?).

If you still want to use Emboar, use :

Emboar @ Choice Band
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Wild Charge
- Sucker Punch

Addition :

Ra (Charizard) @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Roost
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast or Defog

It's nifty, but par usable.
