GvE death question

Post by Hydre(Hydreigon) on Sun Oct 18, 2015 4:36 pm

Question.

If someone dies due to Life Orb recoil in GvE, does it count as a proper death, or not.

Thanks for the answer.

wait you mean in battle right?
Showdown automatically declares a winner based on who is alive
So basically a pokemon that died in recoil is dead
If a pokemon killed another then died due to recoil, the first pokemon to faint loses

So, if one dies to LO but the other too, the one declared as 'winner' is in fact not dead.

oh.. I see your point of view now... Interesting point, but I think whoever wins the match is alive.
Though I think that when the two die because of Life Orb, it would good drama =w=

No. It is whoever loses the battle that dies. It really has nothing to do with who faints.

Same goes for moves like Explosion. Whoever Showdown declares the winner will survive.

Thanks for the answer, I'll use the thread for further refs in GvE. Lock it?
