A Guide to Freeroam & Not Being Confused during your FR Plot

Post by Dreaming Asriel on Tue Oct 27, 2015 7:41 pm

Recently, I've seen a lot of new users join in, mostly during freeroam, and end up baffled by the amounts of plots that go on within the two hours it has. So, here's a guide to your roleplaying in Freeroam, courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Break My Mind!

Joining a Plot:
Probably one of the first things anyone should learn, is joining into a plot. Here's a BAD example of joining a plot.

Bad Example User: he runs up to Roleplayer A and kills them
Roleplayer A: ((I didn't let you into our plot, nor did I give you kill perms.))

And now, I'm going to give an example of a GOOD plot join.

Good Example User: ((Anyone have a plot I can join?))
Lumia Zelone: ((Actually, I do. But, I'm afraid I will have to ask you to talk to Roleplayer A.))
Roleplayer A: ((Fine with me, join in.))

Now, you see how this works? Furthermore, you can ask where a roleplayer is in Freeroam and then ask them if they'd like to RP with you.

Preventing Confusion during FR:
Normally, when in a Freeroam with other players, it can be really confusing as to which plot you're in. This is where this comes in handy!

A Good Player: ((Highlight me when I get a chance to speak in the plot please?))

A Bad Player: ((fku fk ur plot fk this im out))

Basically, try not to be a bad player, and it will all work out.

Here's a list of users who were not in... Mostly my FR plots :^):
Emily the Espeon
Bob (Wooper)
Benny (Wynaut)

Lemme know if I need to add anything? <3

It's a really good guide, and we ought to follow it. But there are two main problems.

1) Most of the people just ignore the person who requests to join their plot.
2) Closed plots, which make more than 75% of FR now. I'm not saying they're a bad thing, it's just hard for someone new to join, when they aren't popular enough.

^ What LB said. That guide is just scratching the surface on the 'how to freeroam' thing, but I gotta say props for making a starter. There is, however, already a big thread about this, aka here : http://psroleplaying.forumotion.com/t845-struggling-in-freeroam-tips-for-describing-getting-noticed-and-forming-plots , so the best would be for you to add your ideas there, and not split up everything. Less confusion this way

The thread in itself is kind of dead, and not many people are just gonna go check the thread with the longest title. Plus, most people just dismiss half the threads here, and that agitates me.
