[CQ RMT] Lights out! (Dark Knight Team)

Post by Allyson(Ninetales) on Wed Mar 09, 2016 8:28 pm

So yeah, this is some random thing I came up with and I liked it so much. But recently as I test, there's some kind of lackluster in the team so yeah basically I'm looking for some replacements to help the team.

Absol @ Absolite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Play Rough
The true dark horse, the heart of my team. Absol is one of those perfect sweepers, I gained respect for him as I tested him on my team(I mean who doesn't love Magic Bounce? :3). He gains tremendous attack and speed as he mega evolves. This set is pretty generic, Sucker Punch is good prio move, Knock Off is my main STAB while Play Rough is another way to counter Dark-types that can wall Absol-Mega.

Mandibuzz @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Foul Play
- Whirlwind
Mandibuzz is a staple in every Dark-type team so of course he's here. This Mandibuzz is very-very similar to what Skarmory does(actually their set are almost the same), Mandibuzz is the best physical wall in this team also his overcoat allows him to not get killed by Sandstorm or Hail. As I said, Mandibuzz's moveset is based on skarm's who has: Whirlwind, Brave Bird, Roost, Defog. But the difference in the two sets is that Mandibuzz has Foul Play instead of Brave Bird.

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Taunt
- Knock Off/Protect
Does my weird sets get any weirder? No, not really. This sableye pledges itself more as a support than your scary staller. This sableye just abuses its prankster it's like some thief saying: "I will cripple your sweepers and I will taunt your set up, mwahahaha" Though if you calc, Sableye can't always tank every attack even given that they've been burned. Protect is an option but it helps you stall your opponents while the Knock Off is Sableye's main STAB move.

Krookodile @ Focus Sash
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Roar/Pursuit/Taunt
This guy is pretty perfect for his role, he can set up rocks, he can intimidate, he has some decent attack and speed. This mon is very versatile, but I chose a pretty generic set for him. Earthquake is his powerful STAB move, while you can choose between Roar/Pursuit/Taunt because all three are useful in their own way. Roar is for troll shuffle, Pursuit gets its boost since most physical attackers that face Krookodile would want to escape as they get intimidated and Taunt is to counter other set ups without sacrificing Sableye.

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off
- Low Kick
This guy is super speedy so I don't see a reason why he shouldn't be here, Weavile has respectable attack with respectable speed which makes him one scary sweeper, LO is something that really boosts his power though his HP is the cost. The set is generic and everyone already knows it so I feel no need to explain this one thoroughly.

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- U-turn
A new addition to the team, I used to have zoroark for last slot but Hydreigon proves himself more worthy than the sly fox. I chose Fire Blast over Earth Power so that I can't be walled by the likes of Skarm and I can kill Ice types too. U-turn for unexpected momentum though it does't pack much of a punch. I run Scarf on Hydreigon because Specs is too lackluster on speed(that means that he gets rekt by faster mons with ease D:) and I need more speed to be honest (ahah).

I suggest brave bird over whirlwind for Mandibuzz, so you don't get walled by toxic orb breloom or fighting types.

I suggest flash cannon over U-turn on Hydreigon because your team gets absolutely bodied by Diancie.

I suggest t-tar over Krookodile because you normally want to run suicide leagues on hyper-offensive teams, not balanced teams.

Otherwise, nice team

Can you give me a Ttar set, I'm willing to add another 4x weakness to fighting mon it and test it.

You can run CHEEP MEMES Chople Berry on Tyranitar. It can survive most Fighting moves if it has one.
