The Platinum Chronicles: Volume 1: The Story of a Zubat, Shoe

Post by Sabre on Fri Jul 07, 2017 8:34 pm

The trainer examined his Pokemon, and without extreme analysis, chose to note their low levels in his head.

"You guys need training. We're not going to get past Roark if the only one above level 10 is Kervish," the trainer announced as he turned his head to a Piplup.

The Piplup chirped, and ran up to the trainer's leg, hoping to be pet. The trainer laughed and pat the Piplup gently. Four other Pokemon looked on with scorn under a shady tree in the nighttime sky of the bustling Jubilife City. A Kricketot, Starly, Bidoof, and perhaps most critical, a Zubat known as Shoe. Shoe knew of his owner's distaste for him - he appeared to Joe in Route 203, beyond Jubilife. The trainer wished for a more interesting Pokemon than the common Zubat. Shoe considered leaving the trainer - why should he be an ally to someone who didn't love him.

"Shoe. You're up first," the trainer, Joe, called out to the hiding Pokemon. Begrudgingly, Shoe flew off from the group and landed a few feet in front of the trainer and his Piplup.

"You'll be training with Kervish." Kervish tweeted a friendly cry. Shoe did not respond.

A Bidoof appeared in a nearby bush, looking around sheepishly.

"Alright! Shoe, go!" the trainer commanded, pointing to the Bidoof.

Shoe decided it was time to show Joe he was worth a spot on his team. He flew up, darting around the confuse the Bidoof. Shoe shot out waves for echolocation, and spotted Kervish getting into an offensive position. Shoe knew his time was now, and he darted down and bit the Bidoof with his fangs. The simple rodent shrieked and fought off the Zubat, but he was too powerful. Shoe drew his bloodstained teeth out of the Bidoof, satisfied with his battle. Shoe took a note that a powerful bite could often finish foes.

"Wow Shoe. Good work!" the trainer said appreciatively.

Shoe grinned, understanding Joe had realized he now had a powerful ally.

The Platinum Chronicles: Volume 2: A Dark Lord's Tale: Neelmer, the Consumer

Post by Sabre on Fri Jul 07, 2017 8:54 pm

The sun was setting on a power plant dotted with wind turbines as the light reflected from the water onto the grassy meadow near it. A twig snapped.

A Pachirisu emerged from the grass, sniffing around, presumably for a snack. However, it moved its head to look behind it. It heard a disturbance. The grass ruffled.

A shadowy figure emerged, one of a Bug type Pokemon. The Pachirisu backed up, fearing this strange being of darkness. The figure began to make clicking noises, and soon a battle cry was uttered.

Delelelelelelele....

... Whoooooooooooop!

The Pachirisu whimpered, fearing the worst. It prepared to dash away, but the figure caught it in its escape. A pincer emerged from the body of the figure, stabbing the Pachirisu, blood pouring from the wound. The life force of the rodent flowed into the figure. The pincer was pulled out from the Pachirisu, its carcass now left in the grass to rot.

The voices in his head... they approved.

The Platinum Chronicles: Volume 3: A Cherubi's Effort

Post by Sabre on Tue Jul 11, 2017 8:43 pm

A Cherubi futilely rammed into the leg of a trainer, who was sitting on a bench in the small city of Eterna. The trainer pat the Cherubi absentmindedly, hoping it would stop being a nuisance.

"You can Tackle again and again, but you'll have to get a Grass type move to warrant a spot on the team," the trainer said coldly, tired of his Cherubi's weakness.

The Cherubi looked up, wondering why he thought she was not good enough. It chirped confidently and puffed up, trying to look strong. The trainer looked down and grinned, saying, "Come on then. If you want a Grass type move so bad, then show me what you got." The trainer looked off to the east, the route leading into the imposing Mt. Coronet. He got up, motioning for his Cherubi to follow him. The Cherubi let out a joyful cry, and followed along. Their destination was not far off, and soon they found themselves in a batch of thick bushes. A Meditite was meditating in one of the bushes. The Cherubi looked around, trying to find ideas for a Grass move. It got an idea. She summoned a myriad of leaves which soared over to the Meditite, scratching it and causing it to run off in fear.

"Oh, that's perfect, Chubfy! Magical Leaf!" the trainer called out from a distance, impressed with Chubfy's new ability.

Chubfy looked back and smiled, then turned around as she noticed a footstep. A Machop wandered into view, oblivious to the previous battle. Chubfy unleashed the leaves again, and the Machop sustained some cuts. Enraged, it leaped at the Cherubi, hand ready to strike. The Machop delivered a debilitating critical strike to Chubfy's body, incapacitating it.

"For the love of-"

The Platinum Chronicles: Volume 4: Massacre in the Wayward Cave

Post by Sabre on Tue Jul 11, 2017 9:15 pm

The trainer wandered into the mysterious cave underneath the Cycling Road, flashlight in hand. He was looking for a rare, valuable Pokemon - Gible. He waved the flashlight to and fro, hoping to find the Pokemon rumored to reside there. After a while he encountered a large rock face. He moved his flashlight up, seeing if there was anything up on the precipice. And there it was, a Gible, scrutinizing him.

"Perfect! A Gible!" the trainer exclaimed, throwing a Pokeball. A Geodude emerged, excited to begin the battle. The Gible prepared for a good battle.

The Gible began to whip up sand at its feet, which then started swirling around the cave. The trainer could not see in the cloud of sand, and, without a clue as to what was happening, commanded his Geodude to throw a rock at the Gible, but sand caught in his throat and he began to cough. In the confusion, the Gible fired a blast of fire at the Geodude, knocking it out. The trainer stopped coughing and noticed his Geodude falling to the ground. Struggling to pull out a Pokeball, the trainer shed a tear for his dear comrade.

"I... have an idea..." the trainer murmured, finding it hard to speak in the sandstorm. He threw out a ball and a Pachirisu popped out. He waited for the Gible to strike, and it did, leaping at the Pachirisu and biting it.

"Gotcha."

The Gible looked at the trainer, who threw a Pokeball at it. The Pokeball absorbed the Gible into it as the sandstorm subsided. The ball shook a few times, then eventually stopped.

"You may have defeated my Geodude. But you are now mine... Kalanos."
