OC #3: Akemi the Ampharos

Post by Mei13 on Mon Mar 30, 2015 6:04 am

Time for something powerful and deredere- Akemi, the Ampharos!

Akemi: "Uwaaah, I messed up again... Oh? HEEEELLOOO!" *Hugz*

Akemi, the Ampharos

Arriving Thunderbolt of Cuteness
Name: "My naaame? It's Akemi! Did you knoow? Akemi comes from two words! "Ake" meaning "bright! And "Mi" meaning BEEEAUTIFUL!"
Species, level, gender: Ampharos, level 49, female
Held Item: Ampharosite
Kei: “Obviously she can’t lose her Ampharosite, can she? Well, once she did...”
Moves: Thunderbolt, Dragon Pulse, Focus Blast, Charge
(Changeable)

Kawaii Pulse of the Heart
Personality: If you like moe imouto or deredere characters, or basically klutzy girls, Akemi is definitely for you.
Akemi is one of the cutest big Pokemon you’ve ever seen. She’s always smiling and behaving in an adorable way. She calls others “onee-chan” or “onii-chan” if they’re powerful, or “<Y/N>-chan” if they’re much smaller and meeker. She is very kind and social and trusts people easily. She wants to be helpful to others. Akemi also likes to refer to herself as someone’s little sister.
This cute personality also comes with a price- Akemi’s klutziness. She messes up things a lot- she often misplaces things, or drops them. She also forgets things a lot. Akemi even falls down often while walking. It’s not rare that you’ll see Akemi getting a red cloak instead of a dropped badge case or misplacing held items, once or twice even the Ampharosite. When scolded about it, she’ll just pout like a little kid. One can’t be even sure whether she has taken one’s lecture seriously or not. Her gullible nature makes her land up in sticky situations. She’ll just trust anyone and do things blindly.
During battle, Akemi tends to miss attacks a lot. If you’re on her team, you’ll just faint if you see the number of times she misses Focus Blast! Sometimes she even falls while using attacks. However, she is a bit tough because of her high Specials and HP and manages a win somehow.
Akemi also responds to others’ emotions by laughing or crying along, and will try her best to soothe those with a pain. It’s also very easy to make Akemi cry by herself.
Akemi’s personality changes drastically when she Mega-Evolves. She becomes pretty tough and pretty mature. Her brainpower sometimes even surpasses Kei’s, who is supposed to be the team’s mastermind. Her memory becomes really sharp, and although she becomes much slower, she becomes much more cautious and careful. Kei likes to refer to her as “Wise Dragon” when she Mega-evolves. However she can’t hold it for long if she is not battling.
Her favourite quote? "OOOH, smiley!"
History: “Eh? A story? I don’t know any! Ask Kei-nee-chan! She makes up wonderful storiiees!”
Haru: “Idiot! We’re asking about your past!”
Akemi: *Mega-Evolves* “Ah, my history? I suppose that it won’t be as enthralling as you expect.”
Kei: “THE WISE DRAGON HAS ARRIVED!”
Childhood Blues:
Just beyond the forest-like area which now Kei and Haru call their abode, there is a beautiful wide grassy meadow once full of Pokemon. There were many Mareep, Flaaffy and Ampharos in a majority. They were so powerful that they had a class of nobles among them. And to this class of nobles was born a little female Mareep, who was named Akemi. During the first few years of her life, Akemi grew up in royal splendour as the Little Lady of the Meadow. She was always respected, but was forbidden from mixing with the common Mareep.
When she was still a kid, Akemi’s parents died of a plague which gripped the entire meadow (it gripped the forest too, but a minute part of it), along with several other Pokemon. Thus, the meadow became sparsely populated, as it is now.
Akemi grew up alone, always in the care of nobles and never being able to meet the other Pokemon who survived the plague. She had nothing to do at all- every chore was done by the servant Pokemon.
One day, Akemi ran away from her home into the forest, leaving a note stating that she’ll no more be a noble. Her relatives took over, but eventually the system died out.
Current Life:
There, she met a Pangoro couple, who took her in and treated her as their own daughter. They also had a son named Eneru. They were the ones who gave her the Ampharosite. She was able to meet a lot of people and socialise well, thus becoming the Akemi she is today. Under their care and help with training, she evolved into a Flaaffy and later, an Ampharos. Eneru became a part of the Dashers- a fighting and supporting group. So she used to meet the group occasionally- and this was how she met Kei, then the group’s speedster and mastermind.
(NOTE: Please refer to Kei's OC topic for a clearer view of the Dashers.)
When the group broke up, Akemi was particularly sad about it, since she had taken a liking to the strong Kei. Later, she mustered up the courage to tell Kei that she’d like to remake the group and be in it. Kei refused making a group with the previous members again, but with Haru and Akemi. Now, Akemi travels with the both of them.
Likes: Cute-looking things, shiny objects
Dislikes: Lecturers and scolders, sad people
Relationships: Kei the Greninja
Akemi looks up to Kei as an elder sister and admires her for her ingenuity and strength. She has been target for many of Kei’s tricks, but this side of Kei makes her like her even more. However, she hates the fact that Kei can become a “grumpy girl” really often.
Haru the Sylveon
Akemi doesn’t like Haru’s nagging side. She hates being scolded for her clumsiness, especially by Haru, who can simply go on and on. Yet she admires how hardworking Haru is for the team, always telling them to go on. She can feel Haru’s love for the team hidden deep within him.

Little Jolts
Favourite Item: “I love my Ampharosite!”
Favourite colour: Yellow
Talents: Akemi’s tail is really powerful in Mega form, so she can damage small walls with a simple stroke.
Weird points: As Mega Ampharos, if her HP is low, she becomes wild and starts thrashing everything. Soon, her Mega Evolution wears off.
Battle pros and cons: With proper training, Akemi can become a bulky special sweeper. After Mega Evolving, Akemi’s Special Attack becomes extremely high. She gains some resistances, but her number of weaknesses are increased as well. With the correct moveset, they should be of no problem to her.
